W2, W3 and 1099 advise-opinions

I have PC 12 and my understanding is we can now print using plain paper, does this include 1099's? And is it ok to print some test forms? I certainly don't want to mess anything up and have to deal with he IRS (or a mad employee )

There is only a plain paper W2/W3 program. They haven't yet introduced substitute black and white forms for 1099-MISC or 1096. Those will still need to be on pre-printed forms or e-filed.
