Desiganted and General funds in PCP?

Post by HBCDave »

Hi-
We are currently in the process of converting to Power Church Plus. Up until this point, our Church has operated under a general (budget) fund for day to day operation and a designated fund for designated giving. Is there any way to duplicate this in Power Church Plus? What we want to do is break down our checking account fund into 2 funds, general and designated. How does one set up additional funds if such is possible?
Thanks!!!

This can be accomplished by setting up two accounting funds in PC+. The first one (Fund 01) would be called your General Fund. The second fund (Fund 02) would be called your Designated Giving Fund. For each fund, you would use the same checking account i.e. the checking account in Fund 01 would be 01-1110-000 and for Fund 02 would be 02-1110-000. Then, within each fund you would set up the other accounts you need.
