Electronic Deposit of Payroll Checks

Post by Matt »

Does anyone know if it is possible to set Powerchurch up so that when you run Payroll the checks can be electronically deposited instead of printed out hardcopy? If so, please explain how you do this.

After reading this post I played around a bit with this. If you go to FILE-PREFERENCES-CUSTOM CHECK LAYOUT-CLICK CUSTOM-THEN EDIT LAYOUT. Once inside the report designer delete everything you see, then at the bottom you should see a detail band, double click that and adjust the size to 0 and click OK. Now just FILE-SAVE, then FILE-CLOSE and OK, OK. Now when you print your checks it will use the custom check layout and not print anything.

If you would like to try it make a backup first in case it doesn't work right for you or you don't like the results.

What I was really getting at was whether it was possible to do direct deposit of paychecks using Powerchurch. From what I can see the answer is no because I can't find any place to input the employee's bank account number, the bank routing number, and so forth that would be required. If this is the case can this capability be included in the next Powerchurch release?
