donated services

Post by wclark »

Okay, we recently had our web page done. A member donated his services for this. How do I set up a contribution statement for his company? This is my first time dealing with this type of situation. Thanks!

Tech 2 talks about non-cash contributions in an old issue available here: http://www.powerchurch.com/tech2/tech2_ ... issue_id=9

Basically, you'll need to get a dollar amount from him and post that to a non-cash contribution fund.

You need to also talk with an accountant. Donated services are typically not tax deductible. A nice letter thanking them for their service but not attaching any dollar value should be sent. There is not much that you would do in PowerChurch in this situation.
