Special Offering Primer

I need someone to tiptoe me through the T-accounts with special offerings.

Say for example you have a special offering for Hurricane Katrina relief. You collect $1,000 and plan to cut a check in two weeks.

Please show me all of the transactions through mailing of the check.

Check out this paper. It explains how PC+ v9 was setup to handle donor restricted contributions and should answer most of your questions.
