Direct Deposit

Post by HWessling »

Some employees were inquiring about having their payroll checks directly deposited. However, according to what I have read on the forum I do not think that Power Church is able to do this. Will someone comfirm one way or another, please?

Thanks!

direct deposits

They way I handle the direct deposit is through contributions. When I receive the bank statement I go into contributions and enter each one for the specific date on the statement and in the cash/check space you could enter DIRECT or EFT. This seems to work for us.

I think she is talking about having their PAYROLL direct deposited, NOT their contributions.

The answer is no and yes.

No, PC+ does not have a direct way to interface with your bank to send an EFT or ACH file, the normal way to do direct deposit..

Yes, there is a way around it. You should be able to make arrangements with your bank to do the direct deposit based on the numbers you give to the bank.

A way to do this is follows:

1. Create the payroll as normal, but print the check using Manual Checks on blank paper. This would create a paystub that you could give to the employee. If you want, you can buy one of those 'VOID' stamps from Staples to mark the area where the check usually would be .

2. Using those numbers, you can tell the bank what is to be deposited.

Some banks will let you do this online, depends on your bank.

Using PC+ since 1999.
