Where should I place utility deposits in the chart of accounts? Other assets?

Thanks

There's no need to 'bump the topic. its obvious no one has a good answer for you, as there are alot of PC+ uses who read the forums, and will leave an answer.

I'm not the treasurer for our church, and am not an accoutant so I can only guess, but since Utility Deposits are assets that are usually returned to the person or entity that made them, either within a year or so, or when the utility is turned off, I would say they would be listed as a asset, but one you cannot access ..

Matt should be around and give you a better answer, he's an independent trainer and an accountant, but if he's traveling he doesn't get here during the week.
