Error message on saving reports

Post by MVA »

"OLE IDispatch exception code 0 Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer Invalid directory"

I am getting this message when I try to save any report ( Power Church Plus Version 14) on my PC laptop.
The laptop has Windows 10 on it.

I tried the option to 'fix it' using: Run Net Setup, but it doesn't help the situation.
Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Debby

Hi Debbie ...

At first glance this looked like something that happened before but it may not be. First, let me ask the question as you say you're saving to the laptop, this kinda implies that you're using Powerchurch Online. If that's the case, may I suggest you call the Online support phone.

If not, and PCPlus is installed ON the laptop and you're getting this error, may I ask that you try this:

1. RESTART the computer. Note, I'm not saying reboot, but RESTART. Windows 10, when you do a reboot, saves a bunch of stuff and does a 'fast reboot' which is not what you want. A restart will cause Windows to boot with everything fresh.

2. Try running the Netsetup14 again, and see if you get the error. Let us know what happens.
