Data Files

Post by showtyme »

I'm looking to create a query using excel and I'm wondering whether you can tell me which data files I can reference to. My goal is to be able to reference all vendor records, and accounting records (at least the balances of each account at the end of each month). While this may seem like a useless task, I'm trying some things out, and my full time job uses a version of this type of task, and it works quite well for all the reporting needs.

Have you tried to use the Custom Reports function of the Accounts Payable module ?? It'll create an excel spreadsheet file for you, based on your criteria. In this fashion you won't have to worry about the various data tables you'd have to access.

That said, here's a link to the list of data files for v8.5, which should still be valid for 9.0.
