Income recording

Post by TimTiffner »

What is the best way to enter non contribution income such as a rebate recieved? We don't want to show it as a contribution, yet we want to include it with the weekly deposit. :?:

Here's a suggestion. Establish a new income account called "Other Income" in your chart of accounts. Then, establish a contribution fund called "Other Income" that debits your bank account and then credits this income account. This will allow you to include non-contribution income in your weekly deposit yet keep it segregated from your regular contributions both in your Contributions module and your general ledger.

That's a good suggestion. The alternative would be to edit your journal entry that Contributions sends to Fund Accounting. Matt's suggestion would be much easier.
