Restricted account or not??
I have just begun using PC V9 for the accounting at our church. I am curious as how to handle the following situation. The pastor at our church will purchase books/guides for study groups. The participates in the study groups will then write a check to the church to cover the expense of the books. Would I set up a restricted account for this or is there a better method for tracking this type of income?
Re: Restricted account or not??
What we used to do was track thi s via a expense account in the COA, but then track the payment as a reimbursement to that account. We had it linked via the Contributions module so that it was entered with the contributions for that week, but the contribution fund number was outside of the 'tax deductable' range, so it could be filtered out from the contributions statement.adam wrote:I have just begun using PC V9 for the accounting at our church.
