How to increase a fund balance

I have a temporarily restricted fund 01-3272 that should actually have a higher balance - there is money in a CD that belongs in this fund. The CD of course needs to remain as an open bank account.

So to increase the fund balance by $20,000, I know i need to credit 01-3272. But what account do I debit? No money is actually moving....

Unless that $20,000 was originally recorded in a different restricted equity balance, you would debit the Unrestricted 01-3110 equity account.
