Change Working Year

Post by Odell Holliday »

In 2005, I had a consultant set up my Accounting System. I have read, and re-read the manual, with no clear directions on what to do next. When I attempt to run accounting reports for 2007, I only have options for years 2005 and 2006. How do I change my working year so I can run reports for 2007?

Thanks for bringing this topic back up!

To move from 2005 into 2007 on a system where you haven't been using the accounting system, there are two options:

1. Close all the months up to January 2007
2. Use Fund Accounting > Delete Old Data and delete all Fund Accounting data prior to your current month. When PowerChurch Plus (v9 & 10) sees that you are deleting all previously posted transactions (even if it is just your beginning balance transaction from Accounting Setup) it will ask if you are wanting to start over. It will reset all of your balances to zero and ask what month/year you want to start on.
