Our church is new to Powerchurch. We are converting all our records over from Quickbooks and Excel. I purchased and watched the training videos. We are a small church with only our one pastor and about 20 members that give weekly. We rent our church space, and only have about 10 monthly accounting transactions in addition to contributions.
We are only using the Membership, Accounting and Contribution modules at this time. Is there any experienced Powerchurch users out there that would be willing to spend a couple hours looking at how I have setup everything, and answering 4-5 specific questions?
At this point all my transactions are unposted, and before I post them I want to be certain everything is setup as best practices.
Thanks!
Karen

Re: Post setup audit ?
Hi Karen,
Our church is also switching from QuickBooks and Excel into PowerChurch. It's a big change, but as the bookkeeper for 7 years, I'm very pleased at its potential. To be sure I was setting up the program correctly, I enlisted the services of a PowerChurch recommended trainer, Answer to a Prayer, Inc (aptly named!) Our donations include a lot of designated gifts, so their help was extremely valuable so these gifts can be tracked automatically in PowerChurch.
Although I'm new at this, I would be willing to talk with you about your setup. Definitely a good idea not to Post until you're satisfied with your chart of accounts, payroll, etc.
