A few questions:

1. What version of Powerchurch are you using?
2. This occurs only when printing a graph, and not any other report ?? What type of printer are you trying to print to ??

We had powerchurch 9 and it worked fine. We upgraded to 10 and started to get this error.

2. This occurs only when printing a graph, and not any other report ?
We are fine printing other reports. Just when we try to print a graph using powerchurch graph feature.

3. What type of printer are you trying to print to?
We are trying to print to a HP 2600n Network Printer, or a HP Laserjet 1000

If you change your default printer in Windows and then restart PowerChurch Plus, does the same error message happen with both printers?

I changed the printer but that didn't help.
Now both of the printers where networked.
We do not have a local printer on that computer.

I have a PDF creator and that was able to "print" to PDF just fine.

FWIW ... creating a PDF using a 'PDF Print Driver' is much different than printing that same graphic over a networked printer. However, since the graph printing worked fine under Powerchurch version 9, I think the next question would be was Powerchurch 10 installed differently than version 9 ??

That is, was Powerchurch 9 installed as a client or 'server' on this computer, and was Powerchurch 10 installed the same way ??

In version 10 of PC+ we changed the component we were using to produce the graphs. So everything about graphs really changed between version 9 & 10. Didn't really add features to the graphs. The component we were using wouldn't work with the VFP9 so we had to change to a different component.

How would that affect printing ?? Suppose PC+ 10 was just installed over version 9, would there be an issue with old DLLs or settings hanging about in the same directory.

FWIW ... I don't believe there would be, just throwing out suggested causes.

I was just trying to say even though version 9 prints okay, a major change happened in the program in relation to graphs. So just because it is worknig in 9, it is not necessarily going to work in 10 because the graphing function had been completely reworked. We are using different DLLS in 9 vs 10. The install and the program should keep the different Dlls seperate.

We didn't promote the change as a feature because there was no functionality changes. But when you compare the version 9 graphs to the version 10 graphs there is a difference in how they look.

I hucked up the printer to one of the computers. It prints. So if it is a network printer, it gives me the error and crashes the program.
Any fix or update for this?
Thanks,

FWIW ... i dont' believe this is a Powerchurch problem, since the graph printed fine when the printer was directly hooked up.

Once the graph is created in PC+, the program then uses the Windows printer driver installed on your machine to do the printing.

Since the printing was correct when you had a direct hookup, that shows that the printer driver was installed properly for that direct-connected printer.

What you may have to do is insure that the networked printer has the correct printer driver installed locally. Sometimes, manufacturers (HP does this on some printers) have different printer drivers for networked printers. You may have to check into this for that printer.
