Where to record income that is not a contribution

Post by Lbuford »

Our previous secretary is no longer with us to be able to ask this question. I'm not an accountant but I've volunteered to takeover. I understand about how to use PowerChurch contribution and accounts payable. We received an insurance claim for property damage. The new secretary deposited the check into our account, but did not make any entries into PowerChurch. Where and how should that information be recorded in PowerChurch?

This should be entered as 'miscellaneous income' ... its not a donation, but a reimbursement for repairs.
