Charge Card Credits - how to account for?

After having a charge card for about 3 years, we found out we had a some credits on our card amounting to $2, 275.00 which they are going to place on our card which will bring our bill balance down considerably.
How do I account for the expenses on the bill when it looks like that much has already been "paid" for?
