In Jan. and March 2013, I entered through contributions income from an investment we get each month of $3500.00. When I run the reports it is in the Funds report, Bank reconciliation report, and in the Statment of Activities report. However it does not show up in the Income and Expense by month report or in the check reg. I would like to know if there is a way I can maybe by an General entry or Journal entry I can have this income show up in all reports. I have not closed the months so, will I need to go back and redo these two months. I am sure it has something to do with posting, but do not know how to correct it.

I'm slightly confused, if you entered this through Contributions, then it would be listed under Tithes and Offerings ??

Or did you use a special Contribution Fund ?? If so, was this fund directed at any specific income account in Funds Accounting ??

In the statement of activities report, what account does it show being affected ??

I suggest going into Contributions / Setup / Maintain List of Contribution Funds

and locate the Contribution Fund you used for this contribution.

Click on the [Accounting] tab and see what income account is listed.

Maybe no account is listed.

I am confussed too. I have looked at the Funds report and found that I have posted this amount to the tithes
and offering account instead of the funds from investments. Thank you everyone for helping me. I now know where it went.
