I just activated Fund #2 in our system. After inputting all transactions for the 1st month, when I went to reconcile, I realized that I used the same account number for both checking accounts in Fund 1 and 2.
What pains do I have to go thru to establish a unique account number for Fund #2 Checking account.

It does have a separate checking account ??
In that case go into update Chart of Accounts, find the checking account number (default I believe is 1110) and make it INACTIVE for Fund #2.
Then Add a new fund, make it an ASSET account, enter the number 1120, when you get to the screen that asks which fund it will be used on, select fund 2 ... you'll have to then enter starting balances on that account by creating a transaction in Funds Accounting

There is a Move Account button on that same Account Details screen. From the Maintain Chart of Accounts screen, locate the account in question, then click the Details button next to the listing for Fund 02. Instead of making the account inactive in Fund 02, the Move Account process lets you either assign a different account number or merge this into a different existing account.

Thank you both for your help. I used Zorak's suggestion and I'm well on my way again.
