Post by BVBCAssistand »

I have received the following message when trying to post payroll.
"The following problems need to be resolved before posting can complete.
The bank accounts used on employee "name" are different" I am receiving this on two different employees; however when I check those two employees the bank fund numbers are the same. Please help!!

The cause of this error message is that there are two or more bank accounts on the pay items set up for these two employees. To determine which pay item(s) have the different bank account go into Payroll, then Maintain List of Employees. Select the first employee that is giving you the error message, then click on the Pay Items tab. Click on the first Pay Item, then click on the Edit button. If you do not see the two general ledger accounts uncheck the "Use Default GL Accounts For This Item" checkbox. Now, note the account number that is shown in the box with "Bank Account" to the left. Click cancel, then go to the next pay item and repeat the process. The account number shown in the "Bank Account" box on all pay items for that employee must be the same. There is at least one pay item for this employee where the account number in the bank account box is different, causing the error message you are seeing.
