Error transmitting 1099

I received the following error when transmitting the 1099. Can someone tell me what's wrong with the data? I removed the numbers for security reasons.

The following errors were found in the transmitted data. Please fix these and try the transmission again.

Payer: xxxxxxxxx (First Mt Olive Baptist Church), Payee: xxxxxxxxx (Hugo R. Montejo) - The element 'AssociationName' has an invalid value for the data type 'Form1099_AssociationNameType': 'Hugo R. Montejo'

OK .. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest no period after the "R" ??

I'm just suggesting that as I got an error like that when I was entering W2s on the Social Security site.
