Contribution using different funds

Can I do the following:

Contribution Fund 6547 debits 03-1111 and credits 03-4084

Contribution Fund 6131 debits 04-1111 and credits 04-4084 AND receives 20% of Fund 6547

Or do I need for both to be in the same fund for this to work?

As long as accounts 1111 and 4084 exist in both funds 03 and 04, it should be fine. PowerChurch will create a properly balanced transaction.
