Remove prior year contributions from reconciliation page
I have 4 contributions from 2013 just sitting in my reconciliation screen. Is there a way to clear them out of there? I have the same problem with 2013 outstanding checks in the reconciliation screen. I use Powerchurch Online and would just like to clean up that screen. Thanks for any help!

Is your reconciliation coming out correctly without those deposits and deductions from the checking account? Are these duplicate deposits? How were these deposits added in the first place?Karen Nesbit wrote:I have 4 contributions from 2013 just sitting in my reconciliation screen. Is there a way to clear them out of there? I reconcile correctly every month. The contributions were posted through Fund Accounting after the accounting month they were posted in was closed. They should have only been posted in the Contributions module. The outstanding checks are just that: outstanding checks people didn't cash/lost, etc. These are ALL from 2013, which is before I started with this church. Again, it's just a nuisance seeing those unreconciled items and if possible I'd like to clear them up. Thanks!

If they have not been cashed, you should be able to void them. Then when you reconcile, clear the checks and the voids.Karen Nesbit wrote:Neil,NeilZ wrote:Is your reconciliation coming out correctly without those deposits and deductions from the checking account? We had to do that this past year. We had a minister fill in for the pastor on vacation in Dec 2013. The minister was single, but passed away in Jan 2014 without cashing the check. We left it alone for most of the year, but evidently the check was not added to the estate for deposit.
We finally voided the check this past January 2015 to clear out the system, and release those funds for use in the church.
As far as the deposits, you should be able to reverse them and justify those reversals since they were corrections for the Contributions module only, however, since that month is closed, you will have to post to the current month. However, once you go to reconcile, they will cancel each other out, and the system will then reconcile properly.

Thank you, but its usually the result of learning from my own mistakesKaren Nesbit wrote:Thanks, Neil. You always make things seem so easy!
Which reminds me, always do a backup prior to doing something you're not quite sure of. Gives you a way to recover.
