We are new to using Accounts Receivable. We have created an invoice and printed it. How do we post the invoice details to the Fund Accounting ledger without physically entering the information again into the software?

I do not find "post transaction" command anywhere on the menu.

"Post Payments to Paid Items File & Fund Accounting", of course this happens after the invoice was paid 8)

11/3/2015 - Thank you Neil.....to confirm my understanding...None of the invoice detail posts until the payment is posted -- is that correct?

As far as I know, unless you add a payment to the invoice, nothing will be posted over to Funds Accounting. Just tested that here. Created an invoice, saved it, tried to post, system said there was nothing to post.

I then made a payment on the invoice, tried to post, and the system showed that the invoice payment was being processed.

Just as a side note, the reason PowerChurch doesn't post anything to Fund Accounting until a payment has been applied against the invoice is because PowerChurch is set up as a cash basis system. So income is recognized when the cash is actually received, not when the invoice is created.
