Check Reader

Why does the check reader bring up someone elses name when reading the check for a contribution. For example, a check is submitted to the check reader with the bank account number of the person but another person with the same last name but a different bank and bank account number comes up instead. This happens every single time. Help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If you have the latest MR and have reindexed recently this should not be happening. If the problem continues you may need to speak with a technician.

Thank you Tracy. But what do you mean by "MR"? I take it to mean some kind of a reader. Our system usually does a reindexing after each posting and closing out of the program or when we backup or restore information. That is done weekly. Thank you agian. I llok forward to your reply. DL

MR = Maintenance Release. I should probably post a glossary of our FUA (Frequently Used Acronyms) .
