same checking account for two separate funds
I bet you experts get a kick out of some of the questions you get but we have to learn and you're the best teachers for Powerchurch so thanks. Now my question. If I set up a separate fund and only have one bank account, is the bank account supposed to be listed in both fund 01 and fund 02 chart of accounts or just 01.

Will you be using it for funds from both 01 & 02 ?? If so, yes !!bsbrown wrote:I bet you experts get a kick out of some of the questions you get but we have to learn and you're the best teachers for Powerchurch so thanks. Now my question. If you have a checking account currently 01-1110-000, and you're going to be creating another fund for, say the building fund, but the same checking account will be used as there really isn't a reason to create another checking account as the new fund will only be writing a few checks over the year and the system will maintain the balances for each fund, then you would just open your Chart of Account, find the 1110-000 account, and ADD it to the new fund.

added it to fund 02 as 02-xxxxx. is this the expected result. So the system will maintain the balance of the one checking account even though it is 01 and 02 ?????
