I am wondering if anyone knows if downloading information from banks, credit card receipt processing (for donor giving and purchases), PayPal, credit card transactions and statements, and other transaction entities (text giving, etc) will be a feature soon? I have a lot of different venues for transactions and at this point and am manually entering everything which I would like to see become more technologically intuitive. Streamlining the processes would be a great time saver!

Other than the current interface with Vanco, I don't see that happening anytime soon. The reason is that any information coming from banks or PayPal would have to have some identifying information (other than a name) that would allow the program to determine who the contribution would be credited to. Such information would have to be unique, and the only data items I can think of that would qualify are the SSN or the bank routing number combined with the account number. That's an awful lot of personal data that is being passed around in a text format, which is how the current file is imported.

I'm not saying that whenever Powerchurch is able to move to a new programming platform it wouldn't be possible, but again, you would have to have something to identify the donor.

Can you tell me more about the interface with Vanco? Does that work with PowerChurch Plus?

You have to have an account with Vanco which , and they will provide a file that you can import to Powerchurch. There are special security credentials that Vanco will provide to allow you to download directly from Vanco into the program. You should head to vancopayments.com for more information.
