Year End to Accountant

Hi,
We usually take a back-up to the accountant, where he loads it onto his program... from Simply (before).

I am wondering what is the easiest way to back-up the accounting for the accountant?
I just happened upon the export to Export Data to Access MDB File. Would that be a way for him to download it into his program?
I am just afraid its going to take him too long to figure this program out, to do our year-end.

Do any of you take yours to an accountant at year-end? What do you do?

Thanks,
Debby

The export to Access would not allow him to do much with the data, since he wouldn't have the program to properly connect all the data to make it meaningful.

Since you mentioned Simply I'm assuming you mean Simply Accounting. That program can't use the same tables that Powerchurch uses.

Exactly what do you use the accountant for?

Thanks Neil,
We have the accountant check over & give the final statement for the year. We're in Canada.
I believe he will be able to import the Ledgers from excel. He said he would be able to convert it into his program (which is not Simply Accounting).
I was just thinking that maybe someone would have an easier way to do everything, so I would not have to load the program on his computer, and help him find things. LOL...
