Second Fund account

In the second fund account I cannot enter balances for the asset accounts. I have all the accounts set up in the second fund account, but cannot put beginning balances in for the new year. I just need a little help here.

I take it this is a NEW fund ?? Are you moving amounts from another fund ??

Yes this is a new fund and I need to only enter balances to begin this year. I have the chart of accounts setup, but when I go into details in the account to input a balance it will not let me enter a balance. This is in the Accounting, maintaining a chart of accounts and clicking on details.

I'm assuming that this is a asset beginning balance. You can't create a starting balance without entering a transaction, an example of which follows:

DB 01-1310-000 Certificate of Deposit $1000
CR 01-3110-000 unrestricted net assets $1000
