Payroll: Post to FA after posting to Payroll module only

Post by UUUSOffice »

I guess my subject line says it all. I posted a single transaction to payroll only but really want to post it to Fund Accounting. Does that transaction reside in some secret place in Payroll where I can access it and post it to Fund Accounting, or do I now have to do a journal entry?

Thank you in advance!

You have to do it manually. The system will only create the transaction for Funds Accounting if you have the option to Post of Fund Accounting selected. This is normally the default.

As far as the manual entry, what I do when this sort of thing happens is to find a previous Payroll transaction and use that as an example of the entries needed.

FWIW .. the reason that there is an option to post to FA or just to Payroll is so that you can correct an issue that does not need to be sent to Funds Accounting.
