Cash Question

I see the check in AP. I even see the check under Posted Transactions. When I am on thenreconsile screen the amount just shows 0.00. Everywhere else shows the correct amount.

In your last post you said to DB Checking and CR Petty Cash. The past post you said to DB Petty Cash and CR checking.

Its Checking CR 40.00, and Petty Cash DB 40.00.

Here's something ... do a reconcile on the Petty Cash account. You should just see the $150.00 coming in as that's all you've done so far.

Here's something ... do a reconcile on the Petty Cash account. You should just see the $150.00 coming in as that's all you've done so far.

I was looking at this tonight and when I go to reconcile the Petty Cash account, it doesn't show up in the Reconcile list. I checked and made sure the account is an asset account. Not sure what to do now.

Now that's weird .. because EVERY account should show up in that list, doesn't matter if its an Asset or Expense. Do you see the other accounts?

Yes. There are several accounts, but not every account is listed.

It is set up as Level 5 - which our checking account is too.

I'm at a loss ... I just tested this on my test system.

Created a manual check

01-1110-000 Checking CR 100.00
01-1251-000 Petty Cash DB 100.00

posted in AR,then posted in FA, shows up in account activity tab in the Chart of Accounts, and then selected it in Reconciliation and found the 'deposit' waiting there.

Did the deposit transaction thru FA,

01-1251-000 Petty Cash CR 100.00
01-1110-000 Checking DB 100.00

Was able to pull up the 1251 account in Reconciliation ... saw both the 'check' and the 'deposit' there.

Went to the 1110 account, same thing saw both deposit and check.

Not sure what is happening with your system.
