Help me figure out this transaction …
All transactions from the same fund, 01.
I want to transfer $1400 from the savings to the general checking.
I then want it to show up in the Gen Misc Pass Thru account so I can write a check from general checking for $1400 to come out of the Gen Misc Pass Thru.

Is the 'pass thru' a liability account? Are these funds already accounted for there? Where did these funds originally come from?stpaulser wrote:Help me figure out this transaction …

Yes the pass-thru is a liability account.
No, the funds are not accounted for there yet.
The funds are coming from the savings account and are not designated for any particular purpose.

Re: Help me figure out this transaction
The issue is that the funds are NOT a pass-thru. Pass-thru accounts are used when funds come in that are to go to a third-party. Like a collection for the Gideons. These funds are funds that the church at one time listed as income so they should be shown as a normal expense.stpaulser wrote:Yes the pass-thru is a liability account.
