PowerChurch 12.2 Question

I just updated to v. 12.2. I was very excited to see that we are now able to mark accounting funds as inactive. The first thing I did was mark a fund that has been unused for several years as inactive. However, when I print the Accounting Fund Balances report, this inactive account still shows up on the report. What's the use of marking it inactive if it isn't removed from the report?

I suspect that it was inadvertently left off the report filter screen. I'll flag this for the techs. For the time being you can do what I currently do, rename the fund to something like ZZ, then exclude it from the list of funds using the existing filter.

I'll pass this along to wishlist as a suggestion.

None of the "balance" reports have the option to include/exclude inactive accounts, which I'm fairly certain was by design.

Neil, can you walk me through how to exclude it using the existing filter? I'm not sure what you mean.

1st you rename the fund to ZZ, then when you pull up the report, you use the filter settings to select funds from 01 thru ZY.

Example:

If you have funds 01, 02, 03, 04, and BD. You rename fund 04 to ZZ, you then use the report filter to pull information for funds 01 thru DB, this filters out fund ZZ.

The report will then reflect the information for funds 01, 02, 03, BD.

Does this help?

Ok, I get it. That never occurred to me before -- what a simple and elegant solution! Thanks!
