I received the power church newsletter with tax tables and have an issue with what is posted for Kansas. Per our state tax office what power church published is incorrect and what was in effect for 2019 remains in effect for 2020..
Also after a lengthy time on hold and conversation with the IRS, we need to have a way to enter 2020 tax information as we have a new employee that started 01/01/2020. I need to maintain the current screens for the other employees that have 2019 or earlier W4's completed.
Per the IRS, an additional tax table needs to be maintained for the new employee. How can I accomplish that?

Re: KANSAS Tax Tables/2020 IRS info
The recommended set up, as per the requirements of the IRS, allows both employees with W4 from 2019 and prior as well as the new 2020 form.
Re: KANSAS Tax Tables/2020 IRS info
There is a sticky topic at the top of the Accounting category which gives you links to more information on the new W-4 setup, and what is required.

About what the Kansas state tax office said, I'm not sure what they're referring to. Could you explain?

Please note what it says under the Kansas section:slg wrote:The KS tax table posted Powerchurch newsletter for KS had 0 to 3,000..3,000 to 18,000..and last 18,000 to 9,999,999 while the KS tax table per our state is actually for single 0 to 3,000..3,000 to 18,000..18,000 to 33,000...and over 33,000. All the state tax examples are just that, examples to use when setting up the state tax tables. Users are directed to go to their local state tax offices to get the most current tax table information.Where do I find the tax tables?
For KS tax tables, you will need the current publication KW-100 "Kansas Withholding Tax Guide" from the KS Department of Revenue.
Which tables do I use?
Use the annual percentage formula tables method of withholding, Table 7. Figure 1 shows an example.
Note that the figures shown in this document are for demonstration purposes only, and may not be current. Please consult the current publication for the most up-to-date information. Though the figures change periodically, the method of calculation should remain the same. If the calculation method has changed for this state please notify the webmaster.
