941 quarterly report

Post by mariecouch »

I noticed that the 941 quarterly report menu asked for number of employees on March 12th. We added two employees on 3/15 and the are not reflected in the EE count. Is this the way it's always been or is there an error in the form fill process? Thanks!

This is what was listed on the 941 line 1 from 2005. I copied this from my first-quarter 941 that year.

"Number of employees who received wages, tips, or other compensation for the pay period
including: Mar. 12 (Quarter 1), June 12 (Quarter 2), Sept. 12 (Quarter 3), Dec. 12 (Quarter 4)"

This has always been the case, the system just follows what the IRS form requests for that box.
