Payroll Setup

Post by friends1015 »

Can I setup payroll and then post from January to date.
My fiscal year starts in July. I wanted my payroll up to date
so I can print my quarterly and year end reports.

Yes you can ... when you go to post payroll, select the POST TO PAYROLL ONLY option on the post payroll screen.

That said, you're going to find that you may have to make some adjustments to the amounts on the check. You should use the exact check number originally used, so you'll have to use the manual check selection in Process Payroll.

But then, as I mentioned, when you post, post to payroll only. This updates the payroll tables, and then provides you with the IRS Form 941 data, and all other yearly data.
