Financial Report options

Post by acctgtj »

Hi,

I'd just like to make a couple of requests or suggestions for the financial reports.
First, when running standard financial reports, it would be nice if there was an option to save the criteria/options as a memorized report. Therefore, whenever I wanted to run a standard report with certain criteria, all I would have to do is pull up my memorized report list.

Second, could you include an option when running standard income/expense or other financial reports to include the account number, in addition to the account name? That would be a helpful feature to have.

Otherwise, PCP is working great for our church. Thanks!

I also agree, especially having the account numbers show on the I/E statement.

My way around this was to incorporate the last 3 digits of the account numbers (the 3-digit extension) into the account name. For example, all of our budget is Fund 01, and each section has a different 4-digit number, followed by a 3-digit extension. Building and Grounds is 5200, and all the individual expenses within B & G are 001 for Utilities, 002 for Maintenance, etc. I entered the account names (on the maintain chart of accounts screen) as: "Utilities -001", etc. and they show that way on the report. It's not in a separate column as I would prefer, but at least you can see the numbers. Building and Grounds (and the other major sections) include the four digit number (ie: Building & Grounds 5200) so that shows also. You have to get creative with abbreviations, given the limited number of characters the program allows for account names, but as I said, at least the numbers show on the report.

I hope that if they do this, they do this as one of the display options, and not something that is 'hard coded' into the report.

There are some users who need all the columns for data, and really don't need the account numbers.
