Did I miss something? When I try to process the 1st qtr Form 941 for 2021, the year still shows up as 2020. We process payroll on March 15 thru the bank so the transactions are already in Power Church. Do I have to wait until later in March?

Running Version 12.2 and when I try to download the latest MR, it says I've already installed the current version.

Powerchurch always has the 941 ready for when the first reporting date is due. The IRS instructions for form 941 states that the quarter ends on March 31st, and the report is due at the IRS by April 30th.

That said, it does not look like the IRS has released a 941 for 2021 as of the evening of March 5th.

Has the update come out for the 2021 tax reporting yet? I'm trying to process my tax filing for the first quarter of 2021, but the system still says 2020.

They have always had it ready by the date it is needed, the IRS says the end of the quarter is March 31st. The form was officially released on the 9th of March, there are some changes to the form, and possibly to the calculations.

They need to prepare MRs for both V12 and v11.55 so that takes some time. I suspect the MR will be announced sometime in the next few days.

Last year they had it ready around the 16th of March, but the IRS had released it in February. Then the July 2020 version came out, and it was released in time for the end of the 3rd quarter.

The e-file service hasn't yet updated their systems to accept Q1 2021 filings. Their testing servers were just updated yesterday. Everything in PowerChurch has been internally updated and tested. We will publish a Maintenance Release as soon as the e-file service is ready to go.
