changing account from inactive to active

I am having difficulty with a detail account that is currently designated as inactive. I need to utilize that account for a specific expense but am unable to figure a way to change the designation from inactive to active. Can you give me some way to do that? Thank you...phil wells.

You should be able to do that in the DETAILS section of the account. From the main menu select ACCOUNTING -> Funds Accounting -> Setup -> Maintain Chart of Accounts
Find the account in the CoA, select it, click on the DETAILS button, at the top of the ACCOUNT tab, you'll see the ACTIVE box, checkmark that and save.
