Do I need a laser printer to print the forms that I purchase?
I merged both your questions. As to the first question, what version are you using? I'm fairly sure that v12 & 14 have the capability to print to plain paper. Which will answer your second question as you don't need a laser printer, but you do need a really GOOD inkjet if that's all you have.
That said, printing using a laser printer, or if you can use your copier as a printer is the best method to print the forms.

I have ver. 11.5. It has the option to print but when I click on that it just prints the church name and address and the total amounts of income and taxes.

Are you sure you're printing the W-2s? It sounds like you're printing W-3.

I tried printing both but neither printed properly.

Is it supposed to print the complete W2 or just the information?

Unless you see an option to print to plain paper (I think only available in v12 & v14), you need to use pre-printed forms to do the W-2 & W-3. These are available from a number of sources, one of which is Dynamic Systems

FWIW ... upgrading to v14 may be a good option, as you'll be able to print to plain paper, and these forms are acceptable to the Social Security Administration for submissions, not to mention all the great new options in the newer version.
