We are a current user of Power Church 11.55. We have an existing CD that we have not entered into PowerChurch. I would like to enter it into our existing system so that we can have complete financial reporting.
I plan to add an account 1310-010 CD **3694 General Fund as an asset account.
And I plan to use account 3110-00 as Unrestricted Net Assets.

My question i show can I add an initial amount to this CD?

Easy .... create the account as you wish, then create a transaction in Funds Accounting that DEBITs the 1310-000 account, and CREDITS the 3110-000 account for the current amount in the CD. When you get interest updates you would add that amount in the same way.

Again, always do a backup of the accounting database before making any changes
