Hiding Funds

Post by Turning Point »

Is there anyway to hide accounting funds? I would like to hide a lot of funds that we just don't use in order to not to have to scroll through them.

Are we talking Funds or are we talking Accounts.

You can make either{i]Inactive[/i] by removing the check from the active box on the Fund on the Maintain List of Accounting Funds, or the check in the box on the account in Maintain Chart of Accounts.

In most reports you can filter out the inactive accounts and funds.

Frankly, if these funds are no longer used, and it has been longer than 7 years, you can delete the fund. The other way to 'remove' them is to change the Fund Identifier. Say you have fund 05 SomethingUsedAtOnTime, you can change the 05 to 99 or ZZ to put it at the end of any list. Then in reports you only include active funds.

You do have options.
