When I first set up Power Church I must have selected to have the SS #s on the pay checks. I really don't want them there and so did as the book says by going into accounting setup and unchecking that box. But each time I shut boot up my computer it's checked again. What can I do so that it will be permanently unchecked?

When you go in to uncheck that box, you're only unchecking it for that session. To turn it off permanently, you'll have to have the System Administrator open and sign on to Powerchurch, and adjust the Master preferences for you.

You will want to check your program date, make sure that you are on the latest release.

There was an issue fairly early on with v9 that it wasn't saving that setting and should have been. 11/11/2005 is the latest date.
