I am trying to reconcile a bank account for Jan. 2004. However the unreconciled checks from 2002 are now gone. I am out of balance the amount of my unreconciled transactions from 2002. When I check the prior year transaction on the maintain check register, only 2003 unreconciled transactions appear. Is there a way to correct this?

If you have uncleared checks from 2002 I would just add them back into your cash balance. If they haven't cleared by now I seriously doubt they ever will. Once you add them back in you should be in balance.
