Our church has been using PC+ for several years and versions, but mainly for tracking membership and contributions. Our current treasurer and past treasurers have been using Quicken to track all of the money for our church. I am trying to get the treasurer to use PC+ for his work, since Quicken is not really appropriate to use as an accounting software.
What is the best method for this transition? We have talked about starting to keep the books using both PC+ and Quicken at the beginning of the year. We would continue this "double" booking for a few months, until our treasurer is comfortable with the software.
Does anyone else have any experience with this type of transition that could help make is smooth? What would be the best method for getting existing Quicken data into PC+? I am not sure if we want/need to do this, but nice to have options.
Thanks for you help in advance

The best time to transition from another accounting software to PC+ is at the end of the fiscal year. You can also transition at the end of a month. At the time of transition you will need to print out an income statement, a balance sheet, and the bank reconciliation from Quicken. Then use the data on these reports to set up your beginning balances in PC+ using the accounting setup assistant.
To my knowledge there is no way to upload data from Quicken into PC+.
