Current working month

Our church recently purchased PCP software. When I was doing the accounting setup I entered Oct 06 as the current month. I would like to change this to Jan 06. When I used Delete old data under fund accounting I couldn't change the month back past Oct 06. Is there a way to change the current month without starting completely over and lossing my chart of account ect.

Thanks,
Scott

This is addtional information to go along with my question about changing the current working month.

I am using Windows XP SP2 and have PCP version 10.

Thanks,
Scott

Is October 2006 what you set up as the "Start entering accounting data as of" date or as the "Fiscal year begins in"?

On a side note, if you have not restarted PowerChurch Plus since deleting old data and restarting accounting, do that for the Current Working Month notation to update.

I entered Oct 06 as enter accounting data as of date. Our fiscal year begins Jan.

I tried restarting accounting but I was unable to go back to Jan 06.

Thanks,
Scott

If you restart accounting by deleting *ALL* of your posted transactions, including those for the current month, then it should allow you to reset all of the balances and change the working month to January 2006.

If it says it is going to do that, but actually doesn't change the month or reset the balances, it sounds like you have an older version 9 program date. Check the Help > About > System Information > Program Date to make sure your program has the latest Maintenance Release installed.

There was an issue early in v9 about this not being reset properly.

I am using V10. I didn't delete the current months transactions.

Thanks for your help.
