PC10 Number of exemptions in payroll
I am new to Power Church. We purchased PC10 and we use MS XP. This is a payroll question. I have added the employees in but I don't understand where to put the number of exemptions they want to take (1 exemption, 2 exemptions...) It's probably right under my nose, I have read the book over and over but I just don't see it. Can you point me in the right direction.

The withholding allowances (number of exemptions) are handled through the Exempt / Year field.
When working in the Maintain Employee Pay Items, click on one of the items that should have the exemption applied to it, such as Federal Withholding, and click the Change button.
You will see the Exempt/Yr field below the Tax Table.
We are looking for a dollar amount. In Table 5 "Amount for one withholding allowance" in the IRS Circular E document, the 2007 amount per w/a is $3400.
If the person claims 3 exemptions, you would want $10,200 in the Exempt/Yr field.
