employee pay items

For our budget of 2023 I made all the changes in budget for the year. I failed to make a change in employee pay items. I guess because the changes were made in the budget the pay amount on checks has been correct. I have made the change in employee pay items but I am wondering if this will affect W-2 at the end of the year. If it does how do I fix.

I'm fairly sure the W-2 will only report what the system has withheld, it does not do any sort of calculations. I'd done salary changes in the middle of the fiscal year and it has not affected anything.
