Auto-repeating due date
How can I set the auto repeating entries due date for the end of the month? Every time I try to enter a two-digit number, it only accepts one. Example: I enter 28 and only the 2 is accepted.
Another question: During a reconcile I have a voided check with no counter entry that shows up. I have no idea why it doesn't have the other entry (It shows the amount as being returned to the account, but does not show the check as ever being written in the first place.) If I mark it as cleared, then the reconciliation does not balance. If I don't mark it as cleared, then it will show up every time I do a reconcile. How do I get rid of it?
Thanks.

What version of PowerChurch are you using? Have you downloaded the latest MR from http://www.powerchurch.com/mr ?

Re: Auto-repeating due date
This control has up and down arrow buttons to increase or decrease the number in the field. If you click the up arrow, does it allow you to increase it to 2 digits?Kathie wrote:Every time I try to enter a two-digit number, it only accepts one. Example: I enter 28 and only the 2 is accepted.

I am able to recreate this problem in version 10 if you are not careful where the cursor is when you enter the number. If you tab into the box it seems to work fine, but if you move the cursor into the box with the mouse you may not be at the farthest left point in the box and when you enter a 2 digit number it jumps to the next box before you enter the second digit. Probably some thing that should be looked at for the next maint. release.
Just checked and it does the same thing in version 9. When you add a new vendor it defaults to a single digit- in my case it was 4. If after I select the vendor I click the cursor into the Due Day box just before the 4 and I attempt to enter a 2 digit number I only get the first digit I enter and the the selection jumps to the Release As selections. If after you click the cursor into the Due Day box you hit a backspace you can enter the 2 digit number. Either that or make sure that when you click into the box you click an extra space left of the default digit or tab it into the box.

When I use the up and down buttons and I get to the double digits, it changes from a single number to an asterisk. If I use tab to get to the box, it still only allows a single digit. The curser will not move left or right within the box, but will move to the next box, which means to me that there is only one space for a number.
It looks like there should be room for two numbers, but I have tried everything I know to get both numbers in and it won't work. If I highlight the box, it appears to highlight two spaces, but it will still only accept one digit.

The behavior you are seeing, especially the numbers turning to asterisks, points directly at too large of a font being used in the Windows theme. From our initial checks, though, you said this is not the case. Please verify the display settings and advanced properties again.
If necessary, reset the display to a standard Windows theme, such as Windows Classic, or Windows XP default and see if that makes any difference.

I am as happy
as I can be that this forum is here!
I just encountered this same problem, remembered having read this post months ago when I was in the early stages of learning all I could about PC+ before diving in, and was happy to be able to call it back up.
Sure enough! The solution offered solves the problem. However...
There must be a few of us (likely more than "a few"? surely I am not alone here) for whom, having somewhat failing eyesight, adjusting the screen dpi to a lower setting is simply not comfortable. As wonderful as everyone at PC+ is (based on my impressions from this forum) it is hard to imagine you really want some of us older users to have to do ALL of our computer work dealing with a font that is smaller than is comfortable for us to look at all day long; or to have to deal with the inconvenience of constantly changing the display dpi as we go in and out of PC+ -- all for the sake of entering a 2-digit value in the Due date field of a dialogue!
Can this possibly be modified in a maintenance release?
(Running Windows XP; PC+ 10.4 with MR 02/07/2008)
Thank you and bless you for all your hard work!
