Making changes in another month

I have just completed May, however, the Pastor brought to my attention that the amount in Miscellaneous Income should have been designated under a new acct Lease Income. That entry was made in March.

How can I make this change without it interferring with the completed months following?

FWIW ... if you have already closed the month of March, then you cannot make changes to it. If you have not closed March and the months following, you can make the change, but remember, any change made in March will definitely affect the months after.

I'm not an accountant, but I believe you can make the change manually in this month, moving the appropriate amount of money from Miscellaneous to Lease and adding the reason in any note or comments of the transaction.
